HOF "Vessel"
The Brief
A boundary-pushing hybrid production campaign exploring visual transmedia translation. The project captures the adaptation of an ancient dark-fantasy epic—detailing a tattooed priestess, a chained underwater coffin, and a levitating forest sorcerer—into a modern, high-energy battle-shonen anime set in a ruined cyberpunk metropolis.
Challenge
Developing a unified visual rhythm that presents the contrast between rich, desaturated, grain-infused live-action film stills and clean, vibrant, high-energy anime illustrations as a deliberate artistic strength rather than two separate elements.
Approach
Organizing the gallery as a dual-phase transmedia storyboard. We group live-action concept scenes side-by-side with their anime counterpart translations, leveraging anamorphic 21:9 widescreen ratios across both visual styles to bind them under a singular cinematic scope.
Result
A highly acclaimed, transmedia showcase demonstrating House of Films' digital capabilities in translating physical live-action lore into stylized animation, establishing a new framework for hybrid IP campaigns.
