Life & Death
The Logline
When a family is torn apart by a sudden death, a grieving teenager becomes trapped in a surreal journey through memory, loss, and love, where every answer only deepens the mystery of what truly happened.
The Scope
The production required a consistent cinematic language across sharply contrasting environments, from intimate high-contrast interiors to open-air natural landscapes. Each setup was designed to test the studio’s ability to move between quiet emotional detail and expansive visual scale without breaking tonal continuity.
The Execution
Captured through cinema-grade glass, controlled lighting, and a carefully restrained visual palette. Deep blacks, rich skin tones, cool natural light, and sculpted contrast shaped a fine-art aesthetic built to carry the emotional weight of the narrative.
The Package
A polished visual proof of concept positioning Life & Death as a dramatic original IP with room for larger narrative development. The finished asset reflects House of Films’ ability to build prestige visual worlds with cinematic restraint, emotional clarity, and theatrical intent.
